Walking around cities in daylight and brazenly going where there were people was something only possible because of the 'human charms' as they were called. Small, about the size of a nickel, and usually transparent with some sort of tint, they could be worn as earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, or embedded directly into the skin. Dia's was on a choker under the collar of his shirt, where he could be sure it wasn't going to somehow dislodge itself and reveal him to the general, somewhat thick public.
