Eric Solralian was human, up until he had part of his face sheared off while hunting a supernatural creature. Then he became something else entirely, as instead of dying and leaving a gruesome image for people to clean up, the skin healed over and his skull changed so that his face is just flat now. This quick healing was the last work that a fairy, wronged by Eric's prey, could work before she died from the strain of using too much magic too quickly. He was granted some odd sort of vision where his 'face' can sense vibrations to allow him to see. He also breathes with his whole face, and has to inject himself with whatever he needs to survive, as he no longer has a mouth for eating.
Eric is very proficient with pistols, and while he's ambidextrous, his aim is better with his left hand. If he's aiming at you with his left, then he REALLY wants to shoot you, no matter what the job description was.
A side effect of being able to see everything around him is being very fidgety, so Eric ALWAYS has a stress ball on him to knead at or squeeze.
As time went on, and Eric continued his hunts, his black face started becoming too recognizable, so he went to certain magic users and became even less human, getting the ability to magically 'pull on' a face at any given moment to allow him to blend into a crowd. The one thing he cannot change is the fact he will always be bald, even if he changes his skin colour.
Whenever he starts getting too stressed, regardless of whether or not he has a fidget, he'll grab a syringe and lounge in his office while injecting alcoholic beverages into himself. Seeing as he is less human now, injecting it into his blood is just the same as him drinking, as his body will absorb and process any foreign substances.
